Graphic Design Graduate Certificate
In 2020, I returned to school to pursue my Graphic Design Graduate Certificate from Lindenwood University. During my time in the program, I took a few classes, including Imaging and Illustration, Motion Graphics, and Digital Art.
I received my Graphic Design Graduate Certificate in May 2021.
Imaging and Illustration
As part of my Imaging and Illustration graduate class final, I was tasked with re-creating a movie poster. I chose to do the film, Get Out because I wanted to create something to fit the hypnosis theme of the movie.
We were asked to choose a movie and recreate three movie posters for the project. After completing the project, I made one of the designs into a gif and used both the static and gif files to create an augmented reality experience. The posters were created using Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop. We used EyeJack to create the augmented reality version of the poster.
Motion Graphics
This project was created for my Motions Graphics graduate class, using Adobe After Effects and Character Animator. I designed all illustrations for my character animator projections, created a vector puppet, animated the video, and wrote and voiced the script. Click the image to take the full video.
Digital Art
I used Adobe Photoshop to layer images and use various filters, blending modes, and tools to create a new piece of art.
My first piece was inspired by St. Louis Cardinals and so I used them and baseball for my theme. For the second piece, we were asked to use images and techniques to represent verbs. I chose the verbs, to differ, refraction and curve.
